An in-person translator for your business meeting
Talksie has professionals in 45 countries, mostly in Europe, Latin America and Asia. If your meeting is abroad, you may find a translator who's already there, so you don't pay for travel. You see each professional's languages, industry, location and rate before you contact them, and you pay securely through Talksie.
Interpreters often travel to nearby cities for assignments, so check profiles in neighboring cities too.

How it works
- 1
Sign up and browse
Create a free account and browse profiles filtered by language, industry, and location.
- 2
Message and agree on scope
Contact the interpreter directly. Discuss dates, format, subject matter, and any confidentiality requirements.
- 3
Book and pay securely
You pay an invoice through Talksie, and Talksie holds the payment. When the professional marks the job delivered, you get an email. You then have 48 hours to raise an issue. If you don't, Talksie releases the funds to the professional.

Transparent pricing, no hidden markup
Interpreters set their own rates and keep 100% of them. You pay their rate plus a flat 20% Talksie platform fee. That's it: no agency surcharge, no surprise invoices.
Example
Interpreter rate: $100 / hr
Talksie fee (20%): $20 / hr
You pay: $120 / hr
Traditional agencies charge a 40–60% markup and assign whoever is available, with no profiles to review and no direct contact. On Talksie you choose who you work with.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need a translator or an interpreter?
Translators work with written documents. Interpreters work live, in person or on a call. Most people search for a translator either way, and that's fine: Talksie lists both, and you can message a professional to confirm what they offer.
Who pays for travel?
You do, if the professional needs to travel. For long trips, you usually book the tickets yourself, through your travel agent or travel department. For short trips, the professional may add travel costs to the invoice. The 20% platform fee applies to the full invoice. Choosing someone who's already near your meeting avoids travel costs.
How are professionals verified?
Talksie reviews every profile before clients can see it. Each professional holds a degree in translation or interpreting, an equivalent degree, or a professional certification.
How much does it cost?
Each professional sets their own rate. You pay that rate plus a 20% platform fee, shown before you pay. Searching and messaging are free.
Will the interpreter sign an NDA?
Interpreters are bound by professional confidentiality, and NDAs are available on request.
